A flat, wandering path through wetland and mixed forest that circles an active beaver pond. Trail width narrows in spots and a few boardwalk sections can be muddy after rain, but elevation is negligible throughout.
Highlights
- Active beaver dam and lodge visible from the north bank
- Good birding: wood ducks, herons, kingfishers in season
- Wildflower meadow at the east end of the loop
Trail tips
- Go early morning for wildlife sightings — the pond is quiet before 8 AM.
- Boardwalk sections are slippery when wet; watch your step.
- Bring binoculars.
